Frequently Ask Questions

Absolutely! Contact us by email or by using the Tell Us About Your Project button at the top of the page. Please provide an overview of the project and any relevant details. We will contact you to arrange a time for the owner, Nick, to see your project in person and provide you with an estimate.

Kent Carpentry maintains a 2 million dollar commercial liability policy as well as WSIB insurance for our employees. This provides peace-of-mind and protection for both the company and the homeowner in the event that an unexpected accident occurs causing bodily injury or property damage.
Each project is unique, and therefore the cost of each renovation must be determined on a case-by-case basis. Contact us to set up an appointment for a free estimate.

Once you decide to move forward with Kent Carpentry, a non-refundable deposit will be required to reserve your start date. Once this deposit has been received, we block off our calendar for your renovation and make every effort to stick to our projected start dates and timelines.

Based on the size and scope of the project, we negotiate an individualized payment schedule with each client.

The time frame in which we will complete your renovation is entirely dependent on the size and scope of your project. We will be able to provide you with a timeline once we have met to discuss your project.
This depends on a variety of factors including the size and scope of your project, your preference, and our availability. We can discuss a convenient start date at our initial meeting. Please note that a deposit equaling 5% of the estimated project cost will be required to reserve your project start date.
Sub-contractors are individuals that are licensed to perform specific jobs such as electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. Kent Custom Carpentry will hire and manage these trades if they are required for your project.
If a permit is required for your renovation, Kent Custom Carpentry will help you through the process of obtaining one. We will be present on-site during all building inspections.
The process for selecting and ordering materials is dependent on your wants and needs, as well as the type of project. This is something that we will discuss during our initial meeting. Kent Custom Carpentry has relationships with a variety of renovation material vendors, and can suggest retailors that will suit your style and your budget.
